MISSION STATEMENT

Drumbaragh National School is a co-educational, Catholic, primary school providing for the education of all children from the Drumbaragh and Kells area.

Our school aims to create:

  • an environment where children, staff, and parents are valued and respected equally.
  • a welcoming, caring, secure, and stimulating environment that challenges everyone to reach their fullest potential.
  • an environment where children are taught not only to think and question for themselves but to question answers also.
  • a school community that cherishes and celebrates diversity.

Drumbaragh School strives to create a centre of excellence in education where pupils are enabled to realise their potential through our dedicated and talented staff. Our purpose is to guide and support each child in all aspects of their education and development. Achieved through the promotion of academic successes, fostering a positive sense of self in pupils whilst encouraging personal responsibility. We aim to create high academic standards and high expectations for all our pupils whilst recognising the importance of emotional intelligence and social development for each pupil.

As a Catholic School we endeavour to strengthen, nurture, and develop a strong Catholic moral ethos whilst operating a policy of inclusivity that values diversity. We aim to develop in each child through living and co-operating with others traits of tolerance, trust, honesty and self-discipline.
